Title: National Consultant to Support Climate Risk and Vulnerability Analysis

Organizational Context and Purpose for the job
- Nigeria is one of the top ten most climate change vulnerable countries in the world. UNICEF Nigeria has been implementing several climate change initiatives, including Green Rising, WASH sector climate risk and vulnerability analysis, climate resilient infrastructure for basic services (CRIBS) among others.
- UNICEF Nigeria in collaboration with the FCDO has successfully implemented the first phase (April ’24 – March ‘25) of the Climate Resilient Infrastructure for Basic Services – Health and Education (CRIBS) project.
- The first phase of the project successfully designed and tested an approach for assessing facility level climate risks and vulnerabilities, identifying interventions to minimize those risks and implementing those interventions in primary healthcare (PHC) facilities and schools in Kano and Jigawa states.
- Overall, 84 facilities (45 schools and 39 PHCs) located in 9 LGAs are receiving various climate resilient (CR) rehabilitations.
