- In this role, you will ensure efficient and safe daily technical operations of the Dredgers and other Marine Fleet.
As a Technical Lead you will be responsible for
- Managing all technical matters and ensuring that safety is being given the highest priority.
- Managing financial budgets and cost control for maintenance, repairs, stores, modifications and dry dockings, while ensuring compliance with Industry, Class and International regulations.
- Maintaining close communication with the Workshop Manager and advise on repairs overhauls etc., You will also manage OEM companies and lead, develop and coach assigned crew on all matters (Safety, Technical).
- Co-operating and working across all onshore departments.
- Maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance, dry docking and modifications to the dredgers, vessels and machineries.
- Following up on the performance of the vessels and arranging corrective actions to be carried out when necessary.
- Ensuring that all international requirements are in order.
- Initiating innovations, savings and improvements within the area of responsibility.
- Monitoring the quality of all service providers.
- Preparing periodic and ad-hoc high-quality and credible project monitoring reports to aid Management decision.

What are we looking for?
- First Degree in Engineering. Marine Engineering is an added advantage.
- Relevant training and professional certifications e.g., Marine Engineering, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years experience as a Marine Engineer, Technical Superintendent, or similar position in the Marine Industry, preferably sailed for a minimum of 3 years as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer Onboard offshore vessels and dredgers.
- Proven technical ability for a similar position in the Marine Industry. A dredging company preferably.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to read and interpret designs.

Responsibilities
As an Experienced Petroleum Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Working with other disciplines to carry out annual review of and updates to oil and gas reserves to ensure estimates are reliable.
- Providing timely requisite reports for statutory and business needs.
- Providing operational guidance to the activities of Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, Well Engineering, G&G services and technical support.
- Managing production and cost forecasting for business planning.

- Working with engineers working on oil assets to coordinate development of oil rims and gas caps in reservoirs with thin oil rims and large gas caps.
- Visiting field locations to become familiar with oil production and gas processing assets, and for other reasons related to responsibilities.
- Participating in formulating conceptual development plans of exploration opportunities, estimating the corresponding investment and production potential, and the resulting economic value.
- Preparing and updating Field Development Plans and participate in securing Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) approval.
- Mentoring less experienced personnel
- Meeting with officials of NUPRC as required to obtain well intervention, well drilling and project approvals. Provide information and clarity on projects, or any other issues that may arise
- Meeting with personnel of NNPC E&P Limited (NEPL) – our JV partners – as required to reach alignment on projects, or any other issues that may arise.
- Participating in the computation of flare numbers to ensure that they are accurate. Recommend the installation of meters where required.
